Biography
Lukasz Patelczyk is engaged in painting. He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, he received his diploma in 2012 in the studio of Prof. Teresa Miszkin and the studio of Prof. Witoslaw Czerwonka. In his painting he combines two orders: classical landscape and geometric abstraction. Winner of the 2020 "Kompas Młodej Sztuki" ranking (ex aequo with Agata Kus). He won a special award in the "Artistic Journey of Hestia" 2011 competition. His works are in private collections in Poland and abroad, as well as in state collections, including the National Museum in Gdansk. Lukasz Patelczyk's most important solo exhibitions include: "Flicker", Centre for Contemporary Art Znaki Czasu in Torun, 2018; "Signs in the Sky", Platán Galéria, Polish Institute in Budapest, Hungary, 2018. "Constellations" Galerie Sandhofer, Salzburg, Austria, 2017. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions including: "Volta Show 2020" in New York, USA; "Gallery of Polish Contemporary Art, New Views" (permanent exhibition), National Museum in Gdansk, 2019; "Nietota", Contemporary Museum in Wroclaw, 2018.
