Studied at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts from 1962 to 1968. Multimedia artist, one of the pioneers of performance art in Poland. Painter, creator of photographs, films, objects, installations and stage designs. Since 1981 he has lived and worked in New York. Everyday objects played an important role in his performance activities. He also used them to create objects and installations.
