Kajetan Sosnowski (1913, Vilnius - 1987, Warsaw) Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts under Tadeusz Pruszkowski and Wojciech Jastrzębowski in the years1934 - 39.After the war, in the years 1947-51, he cooperated with the weekly magazine "Kuźnica" - as a layout designer, illustrator, as well as author of texts. Here he met the future members of Group 55 ( Bogusz, Dlubak). Sosnowski is mainly known for his paintings created during the activities of Group 55. He also practiced drawing and sculpture. In 1969, the artist received the Cyprian Kamil Norwid Art Criticism Award. A major posthumous exhibition was held at the Zachęta Art Gallery in 1998.
