Painter, performer, installation artist. Studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz (1994-1996) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (1996-1999). Graduated from the Painting Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the studio of Prof. Zbigniew Gostomski. He works at the Faculty of Painting of his alma mater, where since 2019 he leads the Studio of Knowledge of Actions and Visual Structures. Over the years, he has collaborated with Prof. Jacek Dyrzynski, as an assistant and assistant professor in the studio. In 2016-2020 he served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Painting.
Jan Mioduszewski deals with the issue of illusion and mimesis in painting, the phenomena of visual perception, the depiction of space. Among other things, he creates paintings and painting objects using furniture or its elements. Since 2002 she has used the pseudonym Furniture Factory.
The presented work was exhibited at the exhibition of artists from the Painting Department of the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts "Mishmash" at Galleria della Molinella in Faenza in 2022. The realizations shown there referred to the issue of fragmentation.
The artist exhibited at home and abroad, including in: Kunsthalle, Munich (2018); Zachęta Project Place, Warsaw (2017); Museum of the History of Polish Jews Polin, Warsaw (2016); Entropia Gallery, Wrocław (2015); Zachęta National Gallery of Art (2013); Museum Morsbroich, Leverkusen (2013); CCA Ujazdowski Castle, Warsaw (2006).
