Painter, student of Pautsch and Kamocki at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, associated with the Silesian artistic community since 1945. In 1950-1977 he was head of the painting studio of the Cracow branch of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Dutkiewicz's work is dominated by issues of color, in formal and spatial solutions the artist readily refers to the work of Cezanne. He introduces vivid, saturated colors into his landscapes, which freely describe the dynamic, somewhat angular forms of objects.
