Alicja Słaboń-Urbaniak She was born in Cracow. Currently lives and works in the village of Modlnica near Krakow. She graduated from the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts in 1988. She received a distinction and a medal for her diploma work. Since graduation, she has been constantly engaged in artistic work. Practicing easel painting, she has developed her own recognizable style, consisting of simplification, flattening of space, sometimes reminiscent of naive painting, or primitive art always filled with a wealth of color and textures, However, the freedom of operation of the workshop, a masterful sense of color leaves no illusion that we are dealing with a professional artist. Since her first exhibition in 1990, the artist has shown her paintings in many individual and group exhibitions at home and abroad. She constantly cooperates with galleries in Denmark, Germany Scotland, Japan and, of course, Poland. Her works are in museum and private collections of the USA, Japan, Germany, France and Scandinavia, the Polish Consulate. in Berlin and wherever there are numerous supporters of the artist's paintings
