Vase made from an artillery shell casing, 1917
Vase made from a brass artillery shell casing from World War I. Decorated with engraved inscriptions (places?, date: 24.5.17), a cross and a vase with flowers.... A classic example of WWI trench art.
On the bottom of the vase the markings of the bullet used to create it (St AEG Jan 1916).
Dimensions:
- height: 22.5 cm,
- base: 8.5 cm (diameter).
Very good condition (scuffs/dirt typical of the material used).
