Hand closed, brass frame. Sessile, crossed, triple-barreled hilt with whiskers. The rear arm of the hilt curved downward, ending in a prominent teardrop. The front one, twice arched upward, forms the main bail, connected to the headstock. Two side bails run in an arc on either side of the outer whisker and connect at the top with the main bail. The handle shaft is made of wood, bound with string for notches and covered with leather. The handle is connected to the shank by a single rivet with olive-shaped brass heads. A long cap with a thickened oval-shaped bottom forms the head with an overlapping, convex almond for cupping the headstock's shank. At the bottom, the shank, together with the cap, is captured by a stick in the opening of the hilt. The front bail, on the outer side, in the middle of its curve, bearing three signatures, framed by a circular border: "6, H, G" dated 1820-1840.The steel bail is polished, of moderate curvature, profiled in a wide furrow on both lobes. The groove's grind reaches a short, double-edged pen. The hilt in line with the ridge. On the outer side, below the threshold, the collection signatures "AG, M3". On the spine, inscribed in fine Cyrillic factory mark: town, month, year - "Zlatoust June 1826". P o c h w a s iron with wooden leaders inside. Neck collar thickened, with a profiled saber inlet and a dodge on the perimeter for the mustache of the stag. The collar fixed with a bolt on the back. Two riffles widely spaced (first version of riffle spacing), with intermediate links to rings for saber trouncing. Asymmetrical spur at the bottom.
