Heavy cavalry scabbard with scabbard, Netherlands, model from the Napoleonic wars.
Length in scabbard 118 cm. length of scabbard 112.5 cm.
HEAD: length 97.5 cm, width at the root 3.5 cm, thickness 9.5 mm STATE: very good, no loss or damage.
HEAD SIGNATURES: technical inspection mark on the back. Also, the date 1826 on the threshold of the head.
HANDLE: closed with a multi-barbed, open-worked hilt. On one of the bails are the technical control marks, the "W" and "V" llets under the crown. Wood covered with leather and brass filigree braid. Leather with traces of use (scuffs on the surface, but no major damage. Braid without damage.
SHIELD: made of thick steel plate, straight, with two riffles. No dents or other damage. The spur bears the AM technical inspection mark. All in very good condition.
Rare scabbard, similar to the French model AN XIII. The difference is the lack of a ring on the handle, and the non-center-shaped hilt.
