French cuirass (just the breastplate) soldier's cuirass from the First Empire period.
Steel breastplate. Without damage. There are brass buttons on the body. Two of them are used to fasten the straps of the foreskin. The others are decorative rivet heads with hooks on the inside for attaching the padding. Above the left shoulder buttons is the maker's name (...)ERELL.
A rare item from this period.
