Description
Steel head 85 cm long, 33.3 cm wide at the base and 1 cm thick, with a curve of about 6 cm, single-edged, ending in a double-edged blade with a decentered hilt. The hilt concave ground into a wide groove with a narrow scabbard at the ridge a la Montmorency. Brass handle binding, closed. Cross-bracketed yoke with two side bails, slightly flattened. The rear arm of the hilt sloped downward, ending in a flat, round teardrop. The head sloped forward, with an oval shaped hood with a flat dome, in which the headstock was riveted. The cap transitions into a wide, gradually tapering braid with beveled edges, reaching the rear shoulder of the hilt, where it is fixed. The handle shaft is wooden, about 10 cm high, horizontally notched, covered with black leather and braided with double brass wire. The scabbard is made of thin sheet metal, flat, without a collar and callouses, with two flat riffles with delicate weak links, in which two support wheels are embedded, terminating in a narrow spur made of relatively thin (about 2 mm) sheet metal, giving the impression of having been selected, perhaps from a Polish saber of the 1920s.
