About the artist: Barbara Gębczak born in 1976 in Opole.
Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, majoring in painting in Wroclaw, Poland, in the studio of Prof. Andrzej Klimczak-Dobrzaniecki and an annex in drawing in the studio of Prof. Paweł Jarodzki in 2002.
In 2013 she received a diploma in scenography and costume design in the studio of Prof. Małgorzata Garda at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.
Twice a scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture.
Winner of the Eugeniusz Geppert competition in Wroclaw, where she received a special award and the Prize of the President of the Association of Polish Artists in Wroclaw, as well as the competition
Promotions - Painting of the Young in Legnica, where she received the Grand Prix of the Minister of Culture. In 2021 she received the Award of the Gallery of Contemporary Art at the Spring Salon in Opole.
She has had dozens of exhibitions at home and abroad, as well as many scenographic projects. Her works are in many private collections.
She lives and works in Warsaw.
