About the artist: member of the Association of Polish Artists Born in 1942 in Vidzna. Still lifes, abstract compositions and especially landscapes are subjects that passionate the artist. His approach to painting could be unambiguously defined by the statement that it is the pursuit of technical perfection and perfect precision in depicting subjects.
What makes Eugeniusz Vishnevsky, led by his instinct as a painter, continue to create landscapes? Admiration for beauty and an irresistible desire to explore the mystery of everlasting and manifold nature, so close and yet never fully guessed. By painting landscapes, the artist adds his chapter to the sad, never-finished story of man's image of the world.
In a word, the history of landscape is equally long and varied, and without it there is no history or modern art.
According to the thesis of Andromenides (5th century BC): "Art is not to say what no one has said, but to speak as no one else can." This maxim seems perfectly suited to the artistic beliefs of Eugene Vishnevsky, whose works are in collections at home and abroad.
