"The main feature of my work is its autobiographical nature. If we consider the works created, we can clearly trace the connection between the chosen medium and a personal life stage.
From expressive painting with scenes from biography to small philosophical prints made in exile. Periods of reflection, self-confidence, depression, the pursuit of ambition, elevation from love relationships, emigration disorientation - all can be recreated by placing paintings, drawings, sculptures or textiles side by side.
In my works, I don't hide feelings under a concept, I conduct a diary style of narration and explore the world of human relations with myself or the viewer. Until 2020, the center of my creative practice was my own triune self and its relationship with my immediate family circle, especially my parents and family home. The result was a solo exhibition called "Home," at which, perhaps anticipating future changes, I concluded that Home had ceased to be a physical place only remaining in me and in my suitcase for the move. In addition to the gradual personal opening and transformation in experiencing the same themes, the cohesive element of my work is the use of a variety of materials and the desire to blur the boundaries between forms of artistic expression. So, in 2018 - epoxy resin and textiles become a dominant element in painting and already in 2021, working with textiles and costumes become a priority point." Tasha Katsuba
