Biography
Graduate of the Film School in Lodz. She is primarily interested in portrait photography and the search for the emotions of her subjects. Her works are dominated by femininity and naturalness. The artist refers in her works to classical art, building the mood only with natural light. Sonia Szóstak has presented her photographs in many group exhibitions, including at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Wroclaw, the National Museum in Gdansk and Corso Como in Milan ("A Glimpse At Photo Vogue" by Carla Sozzani), and in a solo exhibition during the Month of Photography in Berlin (curated by Nadine Dinter of the Helmut Newton Foundation). Her work can be encountered in the pages of magazines such as Rolling Stone and-D, OPERA and Harper's Bazaar.
