Krystyna Lada-Studnicka (1907 -Warsaw 1999) studied at the Free School of Painting, the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow and Warsaw. She was a member of the Pryzmat group. After the war, she co-founded the Gdansk Academy of Fine Arts (Sopot School - a continuation of Polish Colorism). She led the chair of painting there. She practiced landscape and portrait painting, and also created abstract works. Most of her works are landscapes, mainly Kashubian, maintained in a post-impressionist tone.
