mixed technique on paper, 31x31 cm
Interdisciplinary artist working in painting, stage design and animation. Born in 1978 in Warsaw. She studied at the Faculty of Graphic Arts at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Her diploma work, a stop-motion animation created in the multimedia studio under the direction of Prof. Stanislaw Wieczorek, using a mixed technique of drawing, watercolor and photography, received a special award at the National Festival of Original Animated Films OFAFA in 2006 in Cracow. The main driving forces behind her work are composition and color, and she transfers her painting techniques to other artistic practices. She is the author of set designs for feature films, documentaries, plays, television programs, music videos and short films at the Lodz Film School. She has participated in 15 exhibitions, including 10 solo and four abroad. She permanently cooperated with the "Zapiecek" gallery, Fabs gallery in Warsaw and the Polish Institute in Prague. Since 2023, she has been working with the Museum of Warsaw, which, among other things, purchased the painting "Wiatraczna Roundabout" from the series "Roundabouts" including it in its exhibition. Her works are distinguished by their analytical approach, drawing and painting precision, and richness of color. Her paintings have a documentary value on the one hand, on the other hand they are an abstract, color-graphic interpretation of space, capturing the specific features of places, giving them meaning and showing their identity. The artist is connected with Warsaw, and currently lives and works in Lyon.
