Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow in 1993. He works at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. He has also taught at foreign universities in the United States and the Czech Republic. He has numerous monumental sculptures in public spaces, permanently installed, on three continents. They are exhibited in Saint Louise, New Delhi, Chandigarh, Vilnius, Zlin and several cities in Poland, among others. In December 2020, the artist's latest work "Inner Balance," cast from 6.5 tons of bronze, was installed in New Delhi. His work is focused on the nature of man with its desires, emotions, possibilities and dreams. This fascination marks the area of his work, expressed primarily in figurative sculpture. An excellent sense of form enables viewers to explore and discover the truth about man. Emotional and intellectual content is condensed in deformed human bodies, whose silent gestures become an alphabet for expressing universal values. He has presented his works in more than 50 solo exhibitions and more than 100 group exhibitions in many countries, such as the United States, Japan, India, China, Great Britain and France. He is the leader and creator of the Snow Art Poland snow sculpting art group. Together with the group, he has received numerous awards at the largest and most important international snow sculpture competitions: The Bronze Award in Harbin, China (2015), The Best Craetivity Award in Harbin, China (2014 and 2016), The Fourth Prize in Sapporo, Japan (2015 and 2017), Award of Nayoro City in Nayoro, Japan (2016) and The Audience Award in Krasnoyarsk, Russia (2017). He regularly participates in international art fairs, presenting works mainly in Asian markets, in South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia and India. Koclęga's works are in many art collections around the world.
