Józef Stolorz was born on October 31, 1950 in Katowice, Poland. In 1969 he graduated from the State High School of Fine Arts in Katowice. In 1969-70 he studied conservation at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, and then from 1974 he studied art history at the Catholic University of Lublin. In 1991, on the basis of his creative achievements, he was admitted to the Association of Polish Artists, Bydgoszcz branch. He is the author of nearly 50 solo exhibitions at home and abroad, mainly in Germany. He took part in more than 60 group exhibitions at home and abroad. He has won prizes and awards in national and regional art competitions many times.
