In the artist's work, which is rich both in terms of subject matter and quantity (he painted about 3,500 paintings), marine art occupies a prominent place. "He used to say: "The sea does not know how to pose, it is in constant motion. What you are going to paint, you must do quickly...". So he created quickly, greedily, enchanted by the vibrating colors of reality. However, he always went outside the box, sought his own path, sometimes the one against the current. At a time when most painters preferred abstraction, he remained a realist, faithful to his vision of the world."
