Painter, pedagogue. He studied painting in Cracow at the Higher School of Industry. He supplemented his education in Vienna. Between 1909 and 1914 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Wojciech Weiss and Julian Fałat. While still studying at the WSP, he collaborated with Stanislaw Wyspianski and Antoni Gramatyka in painting polychromes of Cracow churches. During World War I, he served in the Austro-Hungarian army on the Italian front. After returning to Poland, he settled in Cracow, and in 1929 moved to Lodz, where he taught drawing in local high schools. He continued his teaching work even after World War II. In the 1920s he made several artistic trips, including to Italy. He exhibited a lot - mainly in Lodz, in addition to London and the USA. His work was dominated by realistic landscapes, painted in both oil and watercolor techniques. He also painted portraits and still lifes, mainly flowers.
