K. Zawistowska (1870-1902) - poet of the Young Poland period, translator. She published stylized erotic poems, poems from the life of the Podolia countryside, translations of poems by French symbolists in literary magazines of Krakow and Lviv. "Poezje" is her only volume (published posthumously), a favorable foreword was written by Z. Przesmycki (Miriam). The title page (and - probably - the cover) of Stanislaw Debicki's design. "The collection contains atmospheric lyricism, in which the borderland landscape dominates. The poetic language is enriched by words borrowed from Ukrainian and Russian, the circle of allusions is widened by references to Slavic mythology [...]. She died a suicidal death" (Wikipedia).
