The life story of an outstanding Polish pedagogue, writer, physician, world-renowned pioneer of activities for children's rights. Told through photographs accompanied by quotations from his works (in Polish and English), it gives the impression of a kind of autobiography. Photobiography is an innovative form of publication, devoid of subjective commentary, leaves the reader room for interpretation and allows you to penetrate into the intimate world of the protagonist. The universal nature of this type of publication creates a new quality of reception of the work. Thanks to the use of modern computer techniques, the photos have been reworked, cleaned of the "dirt of time." In this way, many details of the photographs, previously difficult to see, were recovered. For the first time a set of iconographic materials (photos, letters, documents) illustrating the life and activities of the author of King Matt the First has been collected.
The pedagogical legacy of Janusz Korczak is still relevant, alive and inspiring. What determines the timeless value of this pedagogy are the dreams of a child-friendly world. About times and people who will realize, as the Old Doctor wrote, the child's right to respect, to live in peace and joy.
The album was released on the seventieth anniversary of Janusz Korczak's death, in the year declared by the Polish Parliament as the Year of Janusz Korczak.
