[KIESZKOWSKI Jerzy]. Georgius de Kieszkow Kieszkowski.
Woodcut on ark. 11.2x9.8 cm. The coat of arms of Krzywda under a crown of nobles, in a wreath of fruits and plants. On the ribbon wrapping the wreath the motto "Velle fortiter fideliter amare" (Polish: "Desire to love firmly faithfully"). Composition by Stanislaw Jakubowski, 1921, signed on the block with his own ideographic mark. Very good condition.
J. Kieszkowski (1872-1923) - art historian, lawyer, head of the Graphic Collections of the Jagiellonian Library, author of a comprehensive monograph "Kanclerz Krzysztof Szydłowiecki", vol. 1-2 (Poznań 1912).
