A beautifully preserved piece of an interesting patriotic brooch incorporating elements of Polish ruptures typical of insurgents such as the scythe, lance, and confederate.
Rare value, not described at Bigoszewska, absent from Konin collection.
Description of the brooch: a crowned enamel shield with images of the eagle of the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland against a red background and the Hound of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania against a blue background is superimposed on stylized pennants with stylized ears laid down; the shield is seated on a crossed lance with a red and white pennant and a scythe, as well as a saber and a cannon, with three bullets between them; a confederate cap with a feather is enameled in red above the crown;
An item definitely worth recommending.
