An uncommon brooch from the national mourning period with a very complex design.
Probably made of ebonite, the brooch is based on a three-element construction, where the first element, constituting its most important link, is a medallion with a crowned eagle superimposed, the second element is an ornamental finial in the form of crossed flowers on branches with a visible square frame, while the whole is held together by links of a chain, typical of national mourning jewelry, symbolizing the chains of the oppressors-abductors.
On the bezel a visible eye, perhaps for hanging an additional brooch piece.
A very impressive item, uncommon on the market, unknown from Bigoszewska's publications or Konin collections.
Preservation condition of the item good/very good.
A museum grade value, definitely worth recommending.
Ebonite, silver(?), length 10.5 cm.
