Albrecht Dürer's "Magic Square" Necklace
Necklace from the "Magic Square" collection, plated with black ruthenium, inspired by Albrecht Dürer's famous print "Melancholia I" (1514). "Melancholia I" is a work of art full of mysterious symbols, the most enigmatic and full of possible meanings of which is the famous magic square, whose magic sum is 34. Each row, column, diagonal, 4 squares in the middle, 4 squares in the corner... In Dürer's square there are almost 90 different combinations, which give the sum of 34!
The necklace is a real small work of art. It is made of bronze, thus inscribing in the centuries-old tradition of sculptural art, and gilded, which adds class and elegance to this unique item.
Dimensions of the pendant: 23 x 23 mm.
Sold complete with a 45-cm black thong with a 4.5-cm long adjustable chain.
