Konstanty Marian Czartoryski was born in Vienna as the son of Prince Konstantin Adam and Maria Dzierżanowska. He was an active diplomat, especially during the January Insurrection. Since 1868 he was a hereditary member of the Austrian House of Lords. In 1890 he became president of the Karl Ludwig Galician Railway.
