Rare, high quality and atmospheric etching, according to his own painting of 1900. Under the reproduction of the painting from the same plate are reflected silhouettes of mascarons, modeled on those of the nearby Notre Dame Cathedral. Dimensions of the print: 36.9 x 46.7 cm. Framed.

Kamienski Antoni (1860/61-1933) - practiced drawing, painting, printmaking (workshop and applied) . Circa. 1881 he began studying painting at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts in the class of G.Willewald. In 1890 he moved to Warsaw, while a year later he went to Paris, where he studied at the Academie Julian in the class of sculpture. He collaborated with, among others, "L'Illustration", "Le monde illustree", English "The Graphic", and in Poland mainly with "Tygodnik Ilustrowany" (where most of his works were reproduced) and several other magazines. In 1894 he returned to Warsaw, but then went back to Paris several more times. He spent the First World War in Switzerland, from where he returned in 1919 with General Haller's army. After the war he alternated between Warsaw, Cracow and Paris.
Kamienski's works can be divided into several groups-portraits, allegorical and symbolic compositions, socially engaged ( inspired by socialist ideology), existential-symbolic, but in his rich oeuvre one can also find works on other subjects.
