Jerzy Hoppen (1891 - 1969) - painter, printmaker, educator, restorer, creator of the "Vilnius School" of printmaking. A student of the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, the Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Stefan Batory University in Vilnius, as well as the Academie Colarossi in Paris. He was a professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of universities in Vilnius, and after the war in Torun.
