František Gross - czeski malarz i grafik urodzony w 1909 roku w Nowej Pace. Ukończył studia na Uniwersytecie Sztuk Stosowanych w Pradze u profesora Františka Kysela.
 
Artysta, wraz ze swoimi kolegami, rzeźbiarzem Ladislavem Zívr i fotografem Miroslavem Hakiem, był członkiem (do 1948 roku) Grupy 42. Grupa 42 była stowarzyszeniem artystów, próbujących uchwycić poezję cywilizacji technicznej.
 
Prace Grossa są prezentowane w wielu czeskich zbiorach publicznych jak Galeria Narodowa w Pradze, regionalne galerie i kolekcje prywatne, zarówno w Czechach jak i za granicą.
