Ewa Malijewska
Graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague, painter, art therapist, teacher.
Ewa's fascination with art in all its forms and manifestations brought her to the Netherlands many years ago in search of the spirit of the old masters. Painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, poetry, photography, fabric printing, piano , classical and church singing have been a source of inspiration throughout her life in varying intensity, intertwining and intersecting again and again.
Combining the arts, searching for new means of expression, experimenting, is an appropriate form in achieving harmony in approaching the Absolute.
With the passage of time and life experiences, art loses the character of sensual narration in favor of spiritual contemplation, prayer, reflection. Interest in the world of icons, singing Gregorian chants become a means of achieving mystical states in communion with the Inconceivable.
