The artist's paintings from the Paris period occupy a special place in his painting oeuvre. The young Karpinski's several-year (with breaks) stay in France, his studies at the Académie Willi and the Académie Colarossi, as well as his direct contact with the latest artistic trends of the turn of the century (Nabism, Impressionism), made the painter's works exude not only exceptional charm, but also excellent execution technique. A good example of this is a unique composition from 1912. Subtle, softly laid patches of color, softly outlined contours, subdued range of colors create an insanely charming whole. Thanks to the effect of misty scenery, the artist intensified the melancholic mood of the work. Views of Parisian streets, bridges became one of the favorite motifs of the time. Between 1910 and 1911, he created, among others, "Paris Street," "Paris Yard" and "Bridge in Paris."
