"The artist's fascination with the matter of flowers makes these seemingly lifeless spots of color on canvas enliven and attract the eye no less than a real bouquet of fresh flowers (...). Still lifes are the best-known thematic group in Karpinski's work. It should be emphasized that through many years of studying the nature of flowers, the artist has achieved undoubted technical mastery in this field."
