Jan N. J. Mieczkowski (1830-1889) - owner of photographic establishments in Warsaw, first at Senatorska Street, then at the Hotel Europejski and in a tenement at 5, then 3 Miodowa Street. He also tried to operate in Paris in 1880-1881. Author of photographs of Adam Mickiewicz and Stanislaw Moniuszko. His son Jan continued his father's activities.
