A set of dozens of documents of a Polish infantry officer from the Second Republic and World War II, Michal Olisiewicz. Michal Olisiewicz was born in 1901 in the Caucasus. There he graduated from numerous schools. In 1919 he took part in the fighting against the Bolsheviks on Denikin's side, where he was injured. In 1922 he joined the Polish Army. Here he completed cadet courses, followed by courses as a Naval Officer and Infantry Officer. During the Second Republic he served in: 9 p. sap., in the port of Puck, on ORP Komendant Piłsudski, 63 p.p., 62 p.p., in 1939 working for the Ministry of Military Affairs in Warsaw. During the September campaign he was evacuated through Zaleszczyki to Romania. In February 1940r reports to France. After the French campaign, in turn, he goes to Great Britain, where he undergoes, among other things, a course in tactical armored weapons. He works as an officer of Branch III at the N.W. headquarters in London. Among his numerous documents are a 1938 driver's license issued by the 8th Armored Baon, a permanent pass to the M.S.Wojsk Building, issued on August 30, 1939, with a stamp of the Polish Consulate in Chernivtsi (September 20, 1939), a personal document from France, February 15, 1940, an officer's emolument booklet, London 1945. Among the numerous documents is a group photo featuring Michal Olisiewicz. Pieces of Bellona magazine (London, 1944 and 1945), attached, contain articles authored by this officer. Michal Olisiewicz remained in exile in Great Britain, as evidenced by insurance documents.
