[TARNOWSKI Juliusz]. Handwritten letter from Juliusz Tarnowski to unnamed Prof. Władysław Konopczyński, dated. September 3, 1930 in Sucha.
Letter on two double-sided typed sheets form. 17x12.7 cm. In the corner of the first card printed "Sucha". The letter concerns the search for a librarian for the castle's book collection in Sucha Beskidzka, as Dr. Kossch, who has held this position until now, is bidding farewell to his post. The author of the letter thanks Professor Konopczyński for his interest in the matter. One can infer that the professor recommended Dr. Cordello (probably Alexander Cordello, Konopczynski's doctoral student) for the position. Tarnowski refrains from making a binding decision, writing that he would rather "find an older priest who, being a chaplain at the castle, would act as librarian." Good condition.
J. Tarnowski (1868-1932) - landowner, the last private owner of the Sucha Beskidzka estate and castle. After the outbreak of WWII he went into exile.
