French language. Letter of Emilia née Ossolińska Krasińska (ca.1790-1868) wife of Józef Wawrzyniec hr.Krasiński, writer and diarist. Written from a palace in Radziejowice near Warsaw. It is addressed to Miss Szymanowska, who is staying with the family of the Counts de Castellane (in France) and to whom greetings are sent. In the 1830s Celina Szymanowska stayed in Paris where she married Adam Mickiewicz in 1834. Elzbieta Jaraczewska (1791-1832), sister-in-law of the letter's author and novelist, is mentioned several times in the letter. Traces of folding and soiling. Good condition. 9131/6
