Extensive 4 page letter from the eminent professor Oswald Balzer (1858-1933) author of famous books including "Genealogy of the Piasts". He was awarded the Order of the White Eagle and nominated for the Nobel Prize. The letter concerns the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Mortgage Law in Poland. The professor asks that the title of the article be changed (as he has too little scholarly information about the history of mortgages in cities) to a topic concerning antichreis and mortgages in Poland.
