An early emission of the ducats of the province of Utrecht. At the end of the obverse legend, the inscription TRA referring to the Latin name of Utrecht (Traiectum). Due to the similar TRAN (Transissulania) for the province of Overijssel, ducats of both provinces are often confused.
Nicely preserved ducat with mint luster, from a scarcer minting period in Utrecht.
