John III Sobieski (1674-1696), ort 1684, coat of arms Jelita, Bydgoszcz mint.

A rarer type of coin, for this king minted predominantly in sixpences, orts only in 1677-79 and 1684, noted vintages 1685 and 1686 are practically not found in trade.

obverse: bust of the king wearing a robe and laurel wreath on his head, the letters TLB (Titus Livius Boratini) and the legend in the rim JOANIIIDG.REX.POL.MDLR.P.

reverse: crowned five-field shield, on the sides the denomination (1-8) and the inscription MON.NOVA.ARG(Coat of Arms of the Gut)REG.POLON1684

silver, weight 6.55 grams, diameter 28 mm
