A beautiful, compositionally classic medal by an unknown engraver made in the late 17th century.
A rare version, known from single quotations, including from the famous collection of Maria Luisa Goppel.
The medal is sometimes attributed to Jan Hohn - a famous Gdansk medalmaker.

Obverse: a woman and a man shaking hands, below them a flower with two hearts, above them in a canopy of clouds the Holy Spirit, in the outer rim the legend:
GOTT HADTS GEFUGT DAS UNS GENUGT*;
Reverse: two hands coming out of the clouds, chained and padlocked, holding a burning heart, above them in the clouds IHS, below them an open book with the inscription VERBVM DOMINE MANET IN ATERNVM, in the outer rim legend:
VERBVNDNE TREU BLEIBT ALLE ZEIT NEW;
