Description:
Autographed by the author. Edition 1. One of the most important publications on the football World Cup that has appeared on the publishing market. The study of the history of the World Cup competition, published in 1990 by Andrzej Gowarzewski, received praise from such people as Sir Stanley Rous (Honorary President of FIFA), Joao Havelange (President of FIFA) and Hermann Neuberger (President of the Italia'90 World Cup Organizing Committee). The author presented in great detail the course of successive editions of the World Cup from 1930 to 1986, with lists of the results of qualifying matches, and the lineups and results of all final matches. In addition, the book includes many statistical summaries and lists of various records related to the World Cup finals, more than 150 archival photos, and brief biographies of several hundred World Cup participants (players, coaches, referees) from 1930-1986.
It also includes a bibliography.
