"Created [...] collages, reliefs, objects, usually kept in white tones, led Warzecha to start the Metazbior series ('A', 'B', 'C', 'D', 'E', 'F', 1970-1975). These were a series of black-and-white paintings consisting of texts, patterns, diagrams, based on 'conceptual notations', published by the artist in the form of conceptual prints (documentation). The logical systems underlying these realizations were the culmination of Warzecha's peculiar reductionism and an expression of the artist's desire to find an alternative form of ordering the pictorial space. Skeptical about the possibility of a three-dimensional representation of reality on canvas, the artist proposed in his texts and works the organization of the work's space, which was to be realized on the basis of the concept of set, fundamental to mathematics. Using it, he also sought to objectify the artistic message and make it completely transparent. The [...] works - 1973/7 and Documentation of Metaset A - exemplify activities of this nature. They can be seen as a conceptual meta-reflection on the reality of the artist, who did not close himself only in the space of a two-dimensional canvas. Without denying the need for its existence, he used it, however, extending the boundaries of the image indefinitely. Warzecha's works can be seen as a kind of models of organization not only of the space of the artwork, but also of reality in general" (Dominik Kuryłek at iMNK).
