Trotz, Troc, Michal Abraham (ca. 1689-1769), Polish publisher, author of dictionaries. A native of Warsaw, he studied in Leipzig from 1726. From 1750 he was a teacher of the Polish language at the university there. He collaborated with J.A. Załuski, helping him to complete his library. From 1744 he published a large trilingual dictionary in 4 volumes. A promoter of the purity of the Polish language, he opposed macaronisms.
