Description:
"(...)Among the activities of this era, are Styka's numerous lectures, in which he acquainted the broad French public with the fate of subjugated Poland, quoted Vernyhora's prophecies and, for the Polish martyr, demanded an act of historical justice!
A lecture delivered in Nice 1915 under the chairmanship of Archbishop Henri Chapon, a great friend of Poland, supplemented by a lovely speech by Styka's friend Maurice Maeterlinck - an exhibition of paintings and a lecture in Lyon 1916 - a great celebration of the "Gala polonaise" in Chartres Valrose 1917, and finally a lecture during an exhibition of Polish painters 1919, these are the main stages of Styka's propaganda activity. He then announced in print the contents of these lectures: "L'ame de la Pologne" 1915, "La vie intellectuelle de la Pologne" 1916, "La Pologne mystique" 1917, "La Pologne actuelle" 1919."
