(Estr. T. 27). Christianizing Prussia by the Danzig historian Andreas Schottus (†1759) , tells the story of the Christianization of Prussia. A large part of the book is devoted to the activities of St. Adalbert (956-997) and St. Bruno of Querfurt (974-1009), the first missionaries working in Prussia and Lithuania. "Notes the legend of St. Andrew apostle of the Scythians, speaks of Svibert, Sts. Cyril and Methodius" (Estreicher). Both saints (St. Adalbert and St. Bruno) are depicted on the frontispiece. Ex. uncut, traces of dampstain and stains, title page in red and black. Good condition.
