Howl - the most famous poem by the American poet Allen Ginsberg, published in 1956, which has become legendary. The theme of the work is a consumer society that is bending towards extinction, which is contrasted with the immortality of art and the place of outsiders in the era of the clash of these two opposing categories.
Lark is described as an avant-garde work that combines lyrical pathos with vulgarisms and a caricatured representation of the world. The epilogue of the poem is in the form of a psalm. The work stirred up a lot of controversy in the 1950s and 1960s, mainly due to the presence of many uncensored words and shocking metaphors. As a result, Skowyt is somewhat of a precursor to contemporary trends in existential poetry.
The score consists of 85 episodes of various lengths, episodes that are not specified in terms of time, but proportionally measurable - depending not only on the dimensions but also on the way the reciting actor presents the text.
