Introduction by Jean Giono. Bohemian epic with Kisling's mirror-images made in light-printing technique - illustrations with initials (6 pcs.) made by Pierre Bouchet in woodcut technique stenciled according to drawings by Moses Kisling (1891 - 1953), a Polish painter of Jewish origin. He studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under Pankiewicz. In 1911 he went to Paris, where he entered the circle of École de Paris artists. Héron de Villefosse (1903 Paris - 1985 Paris); Jean Giono (1895 - 1970), French writer. In his novels he showed the relationship between human life and nature and preached the need to return to nature. Original cloth and cardboard box with facsimile of Kisling's signature embossed on the face. Rare.
