Bibliophile edition, limited edition, in an edition of 280 numbered pieces, this one #117 on Velin d'Arches paper. Introduction by André Salmon. Provence is a poetic vision of a warm land of wine, women and sunshine, whose atmosphere is reflected in the colorful tableaux of Moses Kisling (1891 - 1953), a Polish painter of Jewish descent. He studied at the Cracow Academy of Fine Arts under Pankiewicz. In 1911 he went to Paris, where he entered the circle of École de Paris artists. Jean Giono (1895 - 1970), French writer. In his novels he showed the relationship between human life and nature and preached the need to return to nature. Original canvas and cardboard box (stain marks) with facsimile of Kisling's signature embossed on the face. Rare.
